Choose the bumper for function, then budget. That will narrow the selection quick. When I first started looking, I liked about 6 bumpers or so. Then I decided on my must haves. Stubby, recessed winch, factory fog provision, hoop. That narrowed it to two. Then, I looked at wanting the rear to be from the same company. When it came to price, JCR won over Poison Spyder. It helps if you eliminate what your friend like or want to see you get.
I was able to get the stubby front and rear and powder coat them both and still cost $120 less than just the unfinished bumpers from PS.

Yep you guys are right, function, budget and look...

I want a:
-stubby
-non-recessed winch (since I still don't have winch)
-factory fog provision
-hoop (or small stingner) that not stick out too much
-not too heavy

So from the 4 bumpers in my original post, finally not a huge fan of the wings on the LOD, Exp-1 have a recessed winch and me not having winch the hole will be empty for a long time, and the ACE pro series requires too much cutting (outbd frame horn on each side) compromising back to stock bumper or any other bumper in the future.

So looks like I'll go with the PSC brawler lite with brawler bar, with shackles and powdercoat from PSC.

-Does people have experience buying bumpers already powdercoated from PSC? And with the shipping, do you had problem with powdercoating chipping or any damage?

-Do I have to plan on front 1/2 or 3/4 spacer to compensate the bumper weight, or the Brawler Lite with brawler bar is not that heavy?

thanks guys!

Poison Spyder bumpers don't come powdercoated. You'll have to do that yourself. Also, depending on your springs, you should be fine. It's not that heavy.

Default Check out the Bestop HighRock Stubby

I went through this exact conversation with myself and about 20 other guys on this forum a couple of years ago, and after reviewing the crap out of everything (and really wanting the Poison Spyder with Brawler Bar), I ended up going with the Bestop Highrock Stubby with Hoop Bar......and it has been a great choice.

Very inexpensive.
Retains factory fog lights.
Slightly recessed winch platform.
D-Rings mounts included (but not the D-Rings).
Hoop adds provisions for two off-road lights.
And not that heavy....

Northridge 4x4 is offering them powdercoated as an option for 120$ on their website.

So until they say to me it's not possible, i go this route!

Thanks for your input jeepers! Appreciated!

How is the hoop attached? I thought I saw it as a separate item...

Bumper has been delivered fast, and installed on Sunday April 13. Didn't put any front coil spacer for the moment to compensate for the weight. Maybe when the winch goes on, it will be necessary...

Bumper came very well protected in the box with plastic bag and kind of urethane foam to retain everything to move inside the box and to avoid scratching, but bumper had some very little scratches, almost not visible on the powdercoat, probably due to some handling during shipping/transit. I installed it as is. Probably on-road stone chips and off-road will scratch it more...

Bumper went on easily, at the exception of 2 -3 bolts that were hard to remove from stock bumper...
