Looking for a shop in Jacksonville
Does anyone know of a reputable shop in or near Jacksonville FL. for a re-gear? I have heard some good things about the work, but “not so good things” about dealing with Happy Trails by way of customer service. Thanks in advance for your inputs.

There are a couple of shops in Jax that I have looked into. (I'm in Tallahassee). If I recall correctly, there is Level 10. They have posted on the JK Forum a few times. And another in the Orange Park area, ocean side, off Phelps Road, I believe, or similar. Their name escapes me, but they showed up on Metal Cloaks web site as an installer, but have not seen any MC lifts in their gallery photos. I have read to stay away from 4WD. Google shops and do a drive by. If you are a facebook person, ask there. Pls post your results. It will help others out, too. Best of luck.

I live in Jax, that's a shame about Happy Trails customer service, I see them all the time at different events. Not sure if you checked into North Florida Off Road or not, could be an option. I've used All Starz Tire in OP for a few different things, but not a re-gear. They have a big shop and the manager has a couple of Jeeps, so he could be a good resource for you. Hope this helps.

Hi gang. I just joined this group, but I have been reading the posts for quite awhile. I live in Tallahassee and traveled to Jacksonville to have Happytrails 4X4 install an AEV 2.5 inch lift in my 2013 JKUS. They did a great job and treated us very well. We got there at 9 in the morning. They put two techs on the job and had us out of there by 1 in the afternoon. We are very happy with the AEV lift and it performed very well at the Troy NC Jeep Jamboree where we ran into the Happytrails 4x4 crew. When we decide to install lockers and change the gear ratio we will return to Happrtrails in Jacksonville. They are an AEV dealer and are recommended by AEV, which is how we found out about them. The only complaint I could find about them on the Internet was from someone that did not believe their advice about carburetor adjustments. So yes we will be going back to them even if it is a couple of hours from here by Interstate.

I can't imagine anyone having a bad experience at Happy Trails. "Top Notch" group of guys who genuinely care about the customer experience.
