Default Looking to run 35" tires

I'm looking to run 35" tires on my 2011 JK Rubicon 2 dr. I've been searching through many threads on what's required to do so, but figured a straight answer would be easiest. I'm hoping to do this on stock suspension and fenders, and adding a lift shortly after (can't afford to do it all at once). I'm assuming I'll need to throw on some form of bumpstops or wheel spacers. Is this possible or will I need to look at including a budget lift to run them? Any helps appreciated!

So why not just wait that short amount of time and do the lift and tires together? Then you won't have to worry about ripping a fender off or shredding the sides of the tires or damaging components or whatever.

But, you will need less backspace to move the tires out. Either new rims or wheel spacers. Front bumpstops go inside the coils. If you are ripping the front end apart to add them, may as well wait until you have the lift and just do it once.

Depending on your model (rubicon, sport, etc.), will change the answer to this question. Rubicon, the suspension makes the jeep sit higher, allowing larger tires than the sport model which is shorter. Also even with a rubicon you will probably be able to run the tires with wheel spacers or bumpstops. Just drive easily and try to not go over big bumps.

Wheel spacers, bumpstops if you want to play off road before your lift. My personal pic of 35" km2's with wheel spacers on stock rubi wheels and rubi coils.

That looks like it would work well with trimmed fenders. Probably trim the slider and bang in the pinch seam too.

Yes, the pinch seam would need attention off road. Static height is ~1" between the tire and seam. The rail looks to have more room (~2"). My setup is just a "getting your feet wet" step- by no means is it complete or ready to be abused off road.

Pinch seam and tire vv

I went with the budget lift first and then saved up for 35s, your Jeep will look mean with the lift and stock 32s. If you go with the 35s first you will tear off your fenders, trust me I know. but I can tell you a site on Ebay to find new fender clips to put them back on

Rubi wheels plus spidertrax, so isn't it 6.25-1.5 leaving me at 4.75"? I don't know the exact factory bs figure off hand.

My point is showing it can be done, albeit not ideal if you want to go pound trails. It'll work around town and probably up and down fire roads.

I'm wanting to put 35" tires on my 12 JKU. I'm just going all out and putting a 3" lift in. Just do it right the first time.
