Default Looking for opinions on Tires

I have always fallen back to BFG in the past, but now that I am on 37s, I refuse to pay $430 per tire for 37*12.50 that are actually 36*12. So, My jeep is my daily driver, pentastar auto with 4.10, Gussets. I wheel in the southeast, Rock climb, trail run, light mud (no "boggin"). These are the three I ahve narrowed to:

GY MTRK
NItto TG
Mickey Thompson MTZ
Other Options that fit

Thanks for the opinions

I am a BFG guy too but decided on the trail grapplers and I love them! I only have 35's but am stepping up to 37's when mine wear out. I think its gonna be a while though....

The sidewalls are stupid tough and the tire provides excellent traction.

tread life and weight are what concern me about the TG. I ahd some on my 2010 and they did not appear to last as long as I had hoped. The $ of the TG and the MTRK is basically the same, the spec height is the same, the TG is nearly a full inch wider and about 15 lbs heavier, its always somethin...

I know what you mean! The only reason I got the TG is because my girlfriend liked the way they looked! Now I am super happy I got them!

I live in NW CO and wheel quite a bit. There is some gnarly shale rock out here that is razor sharp and I have yet to loose a tire on the trail. They were pretty sticky in moab too.

My JK isn't really a daily driver though. The highest speed limit in my town is 25mph so I don't haul much ass.

Thumbs up

GO with the MTR/Kevlar it probably the more light tire for this size and that my experience I have in 35" and I don't have any problem of balancing. My firend I have the MTR/Kevlar in 37" in it work good!

The only thing holding me bsck on the mtrkis the balancing issues people talk about. They are the lightest and have great on and off road performance, if they balance

They only go up to 35's, thats what I have. So far I'm happy with them on and off road. I wasnt crazy about the barb wire either but unless you get close and stare at them you won't notice. And no one has ever made a negative comment to me about them, in fact everyone said they liked the aggressive tread pattern. JMO, they were worth the money.
