Looking for lift/boost advice
I'm looking to lift my 2010 4 door sport with sahara wheels and need advice. I'm trying to find the best 2.5 lift and tires for my jeep. I plan on keeping my sahara wheels.
My goal is to have a higher cooler looking jeep while maintaing on road driveability. I don't off road (ever) and I drive 70 miles a day on the highway. I'm looking to keep a good road feel. I also want to avoing changing gears or driveshafts. I'd like to keep it simple and install the lift myself. I'm leaning towards the teraflex budget boost but I though I would see what people thought first. I'm fishing for any good suggestions. I need guidance on what lift and tires to buy. I assume I'll need wheel spaces too. Here is my current setup.

Budget is everything when it comes to lift choices. As for keeping the saharah wheels, I'd check out prices for tires on 18" wheels plus the cost of wheel spacers and see if its worth it to you. I myself have the Teraflex 2.5" budget boost, no complaints. It does what it has to do on the road. My plan from the start was to get that on a budget, and just throw in shocks/ springs in later down the road. I'm running 35" KM2's on 15" wheels.

If all you are after is looks for on road, a Teraflex budget boost with shock extensions will work great and cheap for 2.5" of lift. You wont need all the other fancy stuff like drive shafts, breaklines, and control arms. If you find the ABS coming on in specific turns in the wind this is because the computer thinks your jeep is yawing, you can add an adjustable trackbar or relocation bracket.
I ran an Old Man Emu kit and loved it for 2.5" of lift, but I am off road a lot.

#1) Thank you for being honest with yourself, and us, on your intended use. Makes recommending a lift much easier.
#2) Best handling seems to be the AEV lift. This is from personal experience and also others reviewed. Even for those folks that had the lift and got rid of it for something more "hard core."
2.5" of lift is right at the magic mark of perhaps needing other items to ensure nice road manners.
What is your budget?
For under $1K i'd go with this: AEV 2.5" DualSport XT Suspension System with Bilstein Shocks for 07-13 Jeep® Wrangler Unlimited JK 4 Door with RHD - Quadratec The AEV 2.5" lift.

I did notice that it's pretty hard to find decent tires for 18inch wheels. I'm trying to keep the whole operation (lift and tires) under 2k. Perhaps I should consider smaller wheels. I planned on 33's but aren't my stock sahara tires 32? Thanks for the help, I have some new things to research and think about.

Depends what gears you have now and is it a Manual transmissions. 3.73 will be ok, 3.21 would be tolerable, but you'll probably want to regear eventually. I'm still on 3.21 but I have the pentastar

It's a stock 2010 sport automatic. It has a tow package too.
