I haven't started working on how to attatch it, but I figure I'll take off that plastic piece and use threaded inserts. The webbing going over the brake light is just to hold it in place, no helpers at home today...

So did you make that? Or buy it? If you made it, what material did you use? If you bought it where?

I made it.

Used a heavy canvas as the backing, with a super heavy interfacing (to make the fabric stiff) and then stitched webbing on. It is spaced 1in between rows, and the loops are 1.5in between.
I ordered some molle utility pockets today, will post more pics when I'm done.

I've been working on this project again. Figured a way to attach everything. Here are some photos of the molle panel mounted, and some gear bags fabbed up.

When I had my YJ I bought a bag that mounted to the rear tailgate, along with two saddle bags. I'm sure it was from Bestop, but I haven't seen them come out with something like that for the JK. The saddle bags I've seen for the JK look pathetic, as there's just not much room over the wheel well to work with.

Here is a pretty cool rigid system for a TJ.

Don't know if it would fit a JK though.

Crap, I actually ordered the molle seat covers before I finalized the deal on the Jeep. LOL I thought they were made for the Jeep?
