Default Looking for front skid plate to work with smittybuilt stubby xrd.

Put on the stubby xrd front bumper and removed the plastic air damn. The only think I don't like is the air dam kept mud from getting into bottom of motor. Problem is all the mental skid plates I looked at use the front crush bar and the new bumper covers the crush bar. I didn't bolt the bumper to the front crush bar so I have a gap whete I could maybe fit a skid plate between the bumper and crush bar then bolt up. I have a mopar skid plate I got on Craig's list and was looking at fabbing it up some how. I have a 2013 jku rubicon. I am looking for something that will protect the sway bar disconect but also long enough to cover up the area where the plastic air damn was to keep mud and crap from going into bottom of motor. Any recomendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

For around $9 I got the Rubicon sway bar bolt from Synerygy-PolyPerformance. It lets you rotate the motor up higher giving it a lot more clearance.

I understand. My experience has been that mud doesn't stop past the skid and it accumulates like crazy under the skid and it's a pain to clean out. Good luck!

I have xrc bumbers also. I wouldnt worry about mud, water, debris, getting into the motor area. You arent going to stop mud and water if you're going thru some that is deep enough to get the motor. And since you should most likely be on the move when encountering mud and water, you shouldn't get much up in there in the first place.
I got stuck in some mud pretty bad last year up to the fenders and i didnt have much if any mud in the motor area when it was cleaning time. When i hosed it all out it hadn't gotten higher than the top of my axles.
