wow..... I got a pretty good deal then. Best wishes shopping around! You could look at the quadratec winches. Not certain about water proof features with their units.

it's not $699?? I just checked the web site it's only $439 for the winch and $ 475 for the package deal plus shipping. So don't know what site your looking at?? http://truckandwinch.com/winches/ele...nufacturer=102

I was going off the link previously posted and it's listed there on recons site at 699. I know truck and winch has it for the prices you've mentioned, I was just trying to find it with free shipping.

sometimes they run free shipping specials but not often. I payed like $90 for shipping or so.

Okay I'll have to keep an eye out for that then. The total of winch kit plus shipping starts to get in range of a warn m8000 so that's why I'm kinda torn between the two.

+1 on Recon; have owned since they first came out. Still works great, only issue was the rope pulled from the metal clamp that holds it to the spool. They sent me two free replacement clamps and they have since changed rope mfgs.
