Default Looking for a budget friendly waterproof winch

After looking at multiple threads I just can't decide. I've narrowed it down to two at the moment. The milemarker sec8 es scout with synthetic line or the smittybilt x20-10k gen 2 synthetic line which i think came out recently because there are no reviews on it. I wonder if they made any improvements to it. Just would like any input or suggestions of other waterproof ones under 600.

Check out the Recon winch. It is below your budget, waterproof, and comes with synthetic line. Lots of good reviews on them.

Check out this thread on the Recon waterproof winch -- think they run about $500.

I have the recon winch. I like it. Comes with synthetic line, works good and a wireless and wired remote. Only need to run power cables.

Should have used it to pull your quad out of the mud hole!

ENGO 10k Synthetic. Cost ya around $450 delivered. Might not be the fastest but mines done quite a few pulls and it's been great. Submerged it as well, pulled like a champ.

Check out the results from the winch shootout.

Massive Multi-Winch Shootout - Four Wheeler Magazine

I went with the Engo due to the cost, and the fact that other than the Warn, it was the only other one that was still working at the end of all the tests.

I have considered engo because of good reviews on it. I dont believe its considered waterproof but it sounds like they still work well even submerged. Has anyone had there's a while and how's the quality for a low end winch?

Check out the Tuff Stuff brand. I was skeptical just because of the name. Haha but after reading several reviews and talking to the customer service I was convinced. I've had it for about 3 months now and so far it has been great. Very strong winch. Water proof. And a great warranty. Came with a snatch block, wireless remote, winch cover, fair lead and fair lead license plate bracket all for $479 shipped to my door. ddc4d in my opinion it's a strong contender.

Edited: I bought the 12,500 lb
