I love the way the XRC Bumpers look but the rear bumper & carrier have been exchanged twice already and they still keep giving problems. The latch doesn't stay close and pops open with the slightest bump & the rattling is constant. The gentleman i bought it from is giving me a full credit which i want to apply to the new bumper i purchase. I'll obviously pay for the difference in price which i am super happy to do.

It's personal choice. But I am native to the LoD or the ORFAB. It's all personal choice. I have a friend that likes the stock bumper chopped down to stubby. Lol strange but true

If I were to do it again I would go with the Shockworks and wait patiently for the brown van. I hear another forum sponsor keeps the shockworks in stock.
are you really unhappy with the finish? that sucks! i have narrowed my choices down finally. and LOD was one of them... pics would be awesome!

the shockworks is awesome. but with the same accessories as the LOD is about $500 more. so expensive! they all are!

Im in the market right now for a rear bumper w/tire carrier. If youre looking for top quality products, i would suggest looking at the Expedition One and AEV rear bumpers. Both are top notch quality & fonctionnality. They both open with gate, E1's carrier is bearing mounted and AEV's has fancy copper(?) sleeves wrapping the spindle. I prefer E1's design, but all the fonctionnalities and built of AEV'S one

Expedition One:

I'm in the market too. The thing I don't like about either of those is that the extend out to the width of the stock flares. I want a bumper that stops at or very close to the edge of the fenders. It also needs to open with the gate as I open may gate about 20 times a day. It also has to be super sturdy because I drive on gravel and dirt roads all day every day about 200 miles a day. Last but not least I'd like it to take a 37-38" tire. I'm running 35s but when I retire this him from daily use I'm going to a bigger tire.

I almost forgot. I don't want the tire carrier hanging 4 feet off the back like some bumpers out there. I keep mine in a garage and I have to park my sons RZR in front of it.

It's a good point. With my or-fab, I just couldn't justify the stinger on the front. Getting in the door to the house would have been too tight, so settled for a hoop.
