I was also looking at that tire. Surprisingly, the reviews I've seen have been mixed.

I got over 40,000 miles on my first set of 33" KM2's! I was so pleased with them I bought another set of 35" ones!

The tire on the right is a 325/65/18 cooper STT. It has about 40k miles on it in this picture and still had 10/32 on two and 9/32 tread left on them.

The BFG KM2 does not come in a 35x12.50R20, but they do make an LT325/60R20 which specs out at 35.6" tall and 13" wide (BFG's specs). I haven't physically measured them to verify though. It's a D load range tire and they weigh 72.6lbs each.

In a 35x12.50R20 the Toyo is one of our best sellers, but the Cooper STT Pro seems to be better off-road. And it has tied with the Toyo's on how quiet they are for MT's. Tread life on either averages 40-50k, but if you do a lot of highway then they'll probably last longer with good maintenance. The Mastercraft MXT's are getting extremely good reviews for the price, and they only weigh 64lbs per tire.

The Toyo RT is heavier than the Cooper and Mastercraft at 75lbs each, but the road manners are excellent. We've had several reviews that speak very highly of their snow traction as well. We still have other options as well. Check out some of the threads here and the reviews on our site to see what people think. As always, you can give me a call and talk tires.

As new as the SST Pro is, you've had people racking up 40-50k on them?

They are 35's. They are my first and only mt tire I've had on it since new. I've been so impressed with the wear and performance off road I won't hesitate to buy another set whenever these finally wear out. Never wished I had anything more.

I fully expect to get 60k+ out of my BFG M/T km2s. They are 35x12.5R17. I've got close to 20k miles and only worn ~2-3/32nds.
Seems they start to wear a bit faster as they age.
They are not the "stickiest" tire in the rocks.
Stickier = softer compounds = short life.

Sadly, most of my miles are pavement. Perhaps 50~75 are off-road. :( But I am enjoying the CanAm 4-wheeler and my KLR!

As for snow/ice....they are a mud tire. 8" of snow on top of ice that got slushy and refroze did not prevent me from getting out and about.

Sent from some string and a few tin cans.

Did you ever consider the nitto exo grappler. Looks to be a good tire for your area for snow and sleet. I had the trail grapplers and they are a great tire just not the best for snow
