Long braking with duratracs
#11
Thats the thing. It never happened til i put on the duratracs. I always parked in my uphill driveway. Normal. Even braking was normal. I mean i know i put bigger tires. Brakes will be a tad different. But not like that!

Sent from some string and a few tin cans.

Taller tires will make the barely adequate parking brake less effective.
The noise when it was rolling back is probably due to corrosion in the drums.
I'd take the rear disc/drums off and see what going on inside.

The parking brakes are known to come from the factry, and from dealer adjustment, not adjusted enough to hold on an incline.
Like I suggested, the taller tires will change the effectiveness of the parking brake. Have you thought about adjusting it?

Well, maybe not corrosion, then, but some other debris. (I didn't see any indication in this thread or your profile that your JK is only 4 months old.)
