Default long arm?

Since i do most of my wheeling on the east coast, should i bother moving up to a long arm lift. I have a TJ beater that i can hop around town it but is it worth the added expense?

Here's a short arm that does well. Only struggled in places where we were rock crawling and mainly due to being a two door

i wouldnt worry about it unless your over 4" of lift. They dont gain any flex just improve onroad handling and allow the tires to not pull towards the vehicle as much when drooping..On the jks the control arms are at alot better angles than the tjs, so it not as much as a necessity.
