As you can see the provided bolts are under 3/4 long. I feel more confidant using 1" bolts serrated here. Both measure the same.

Yeah the 4x4 shop that gave me the free bolts were longer than the ones provided in the kit. The holes in the frame were already there with a nut welded in the inside of the frame so that was 2 less holes to drill and tap. Overall it was not that bad of an install just time consuming. You have to be precise and line up everything perfect to get them on.

I just finished drilling the 7 driver's side 1/4" pilot holes...used a center punch but as others have said...bit moved around a little. I'm not very confident that I have the center of these pilot holes. Would a unibit do anything for me at this point? Just continue gradually with larger bits/cutting oil?

Usually you can make sure they are close and bolt up what is correct. Couple in each side to hold it up.

To me, drilling through the hole in the slider will actually get it lined up. Might mess up a bit of pc or paint but remove them and touch it up before final install.

What also helps is a die grinder with a bit installed if they are close but need just a tiny bit of rounding off.

No a unibits won't help as you need to tap them so just drill to proper size tape and if the holes are a bit off just enlarge the holes on the slider or use a Dremel tool to bob long the holes. The frame is surprisingly hard
