Default LOD or Or Fab rear bumper / tire carrier

I'm ready to pull the trigger on a new bumper / carrier. Both of these tire carriers seem to fit what I want. It's impotant to me that I have someplace to carry extra gas (on the outside of the Jeep). Any comments on on these 2 systems? I am esp. concerned on how far out the tire sticks out on the Or Fab carrier. Seems that it would be a problem in climbing rocks (especially since this will go on a 4 dr.) I read somewhere that the LoD also has this problem, but I don't see how. What di you guys (and gals) think?

I really like my OR-Fab carrier, and I think the Lod bumper is pretty nice.... You could do both.

The carrier moves the tire up, as well as out. I've had no rattles or worries with it.

I love my OR-FAB set up, I have the tire carrier that holds full size gerry cans and their bumper. Very pleased with both!

Does the Or fab have a way to mount the hi-jack?

Yes, sure does, above the gerry cans behind the tire.

I love my LOD and have no issues with it after about 5 months and 2 offroad trips. I like the 3rd like relocator, hi lift mount and CB mount. I have the storage basket and will have Jerry cans soon. Having ability to adjust the parts into different heights is great feature. It also looks great matched with my LOD sliders and front bumper since they follow the same design elements. It took about 6 weeks to arrive but is top notch quality.

I just got a Viair on board air kit and am thinking about installing the 2.5 gal air tank there also. It's a very versatile product.

One of the reasons I chose it is because it keeps the gas cans protected and low, keeping the Jeep's center of gravity low.

Don't get me wrong. I love my LoD front bumper and will likely also get a LoD rear bumper, but do not like how LoD, and other carriers, place the gas cans way up and exposed.

the or-fab carrier is probably my favorite tire carrier, but one thing I've not noticed is how it handles the brake lights? is there a third light attachment or something?
