I'm one of those guys that is glad my fairlead hole is centered on the bumper. I'm only running a 9k winch and it looks much better centered, IMHO. Obviously, an adjustment needs to be made for a humongous winch like the PowerPlant but that is probably the exception and not the rule.

GREAT NEWS GUYS......Chris sent an email last night indicating he will get a new unit out to me ASAP with the offset cut . Now I will await the shipment and see what happens.

Doojer, looks like yours is mis-aligned also. One side pull with a steel cable against the cutout and you have damaged the integrity of the cable. I use synthetic, one side pull against my bumper cutout, and I'm done..........

Nice - You know what B.B., you're a real piece of work and I have half a mind to ban you from my forum. Only 12 posts here and a majority of them was just to piss and moan about LoD and be a complete jerk about it at the same time. But, inspite of it all, I go out of my way to make a few calls late last night in an effort to help you out and now you act like a giddy school girl who just got her boobs in and without even giving me a simple "thank you - I really appreciate your help".

Ummm, your photo shows a steel cable that hasn't even been threaded through the fairlead hole and doesn't even have a roller or hawse fairlead attached to it and yet, you still shoot of your pie hole like you're smart enough to install your own front bumper and winch instead of paying a shop $88 dollars an hour to do it. If you had installed either, you would have seen that the opening of both a roller and hawse fairlead is narrower than the bumper fairlead hole and that your winchline would be riding on it.

Like I said before-- I'm glad the fairlead hole is centered on the bumper.

I am confident that the setup will be more than sufficient for my needs, as was proven by the video CLACKEY posted (which I shot) and I am not interested in running a bumper with a fairlead that looks off-centered and cockeyed. That's part of the reason I didn't want a PowerPlant. :toung:

BTW, here's a better shot of the setup being run by Puddlz, the guy in the vid that helped winch that 4Runner out of the ravine. Notice the synthetic line and hawse fairlead? I watched him spend 4 long hours doing heavy winching without a single issue....

but if you get the fairlead opening offset, then you get to complain about how bad it looks with the asymetrical opening, then if they fix that, you can complain about .....or.........or......
or.........or....
