Default lod bumper receiver higher than stock

this is my issue I tow seadoos with my JK and now that I have a new bumper the receiver is about 4 or 5 inches higher than stock. I also wanted to use the jeep to tow a 23 foot boat for short trips to the gas station.

My question is if I go to a 8 to 10 inch drop receiver will the strength be reduced? THe last thing I want is the bumper falling off or wrecking the boat or seadoos. Any thoughts and recomedations for a good receiver?

The bumper is very stout, if I would worry about anything I would worry about the drop hitch's strength due to the increased moment arm.

They are rated just like hitches; Class III (5,000 lbs), Class IV (10,000 lbs), etc.

I went with an adjustable one made out of a solid block of aluminum. I foget the brand but it is a BEAST. and adjust from 3-10 inches. you see them on jacked up trucks allot.

I would get the largest class that can fit into our silly high receivers then...extra safety factor never hurt anyone

I have a 11" class III drop and pull my 2800# trailer with no issues. You should be fine.
