for 29 bucks i got a set of heavy duty lug nuts with 4 locking nuts at autozone. cant complain. they are chrome and clean up my 15 inch rim pretty nice

I use 5 locking nuts for sure. Cheap insurance; not fool proof but at least is slows the thief down.

Northridge has sets of 5 available so you don't hafta buy two sets of 4 to get 5 locks.

You're missing the splined socket that's required to remove the lug nuts
Without it, you'll have a hard time taking the wheel off (i.e. theft deterrent).

I bought a fairly thick cable lock at Home Depot for about $18 for my spare. It's really just to deter casual thieves or crimes of opportunity. If they really want them, they are going to get them, or ruin them trying.
