Default Which Lockers for my unlimited x?

I'm thinking about adding lockers to my jk when i re-gear to 5.13's. I'm on a fairly tight budget, but if I can afford them now and get them installed while I'm re-gearing I can save some $ on labor since we'll already be in there.

Anyone have any suggestions for a good set of lockers for a reasonable price?

Aussie auto lockers would be the cheapest route, I have one( lockright) in the frt d-30. I have to say it works fairly well. I decided not to invest too much into the d-30, such as air lockers because I plan on eventually get a D-60 for the frt. But the auto locker is good for the time being. Selectables are hands down better though.

Mkjeeep. I have a few questions. I had a lock right on my tj with 31's. I thought it was good but I am nervous about using one with my 35's. How hard have you wheeled with the locker and when you are in 2wd do you feel the locker on the road? Sorry about the grammer I am on the phone typing.

I've wheeled it moderately on some non-rock trails and some rocky trails. I try not to spin the tires on hard surfaces, just crawl and goose it when needed. The only thing I can feel on road is when I'm turning sharply , slowly into a parking spot. It makes a sort of clunking or clicking sound.

I guess you might wanna think more about your area of wheeling. If it's big rocks, maybe not so good. For me down here it's mostly muddy trails, so tire spinning in that is not as likely to break it seems as compared to alot of rock crawlin. I did get to try it out in the rocks at Hot Springs Ar. a few weeks ago and it funtioned very well on #3 and #4 trails

Default lockers

I have Eaton electric lockers front and rear. I wheel it pretty hard and run 33x12.50 MTZ's. No problems at all, cost $1200.00 each axle parts and labor. I would do it again and again. I know ARB is a great locker so if you are going to run 37 or higher go with ARB but 33 or 35 Eaton is a great locker!

just my .02

I think the ARB is a good way to go, though I do think there is validity to the statment of how much you want to invest in a D30 axle.
