Default Locker pop, please help

So I have eaton e lockers front and rear. The wire grommet on the rear came loose and I lost about an inch of fluid. I filled it up and went to test the rear locker ever so slowly in 2wd on grass while cutting the wheel. It engaged fine and popped real loudly when disengaging. It still works fine and now disengages quietly. Prior, it has never made a sound before. I'm slightly worried something was damaged when it popped, maybe a broken tooth on the grears. It's driving totally normal now and the locker seems to be working. Hopefully someone will just tell me it was stuck after not being used for a while and made a pop the first time it was used since June. Hopefully someone can calm my fears. Thanks in advance

I'm definitely no expert but I would recommend removing the diff cover and taking a look for damage.

Took a look and it was fine. I reread the eaton owners manual and it says disengaging the locker while it's loaded makes it unhappy, which is exactly what happened

Any update on the Elocker? I'm going to be purchasing both soon so. I would like to know how or if your problem has gotten worse or just gone away.

It was fine, I learned that disengaging while under a strong load makes this popping happen. Best to disengage while there's not a significant load through the locker
