Locker Light Flashing after regear install.
Wanted to see if the specialist on this forum could help me out. I have a 2009 Rubicon unlimited.
I had 5.38's installed yesterday, and all is well except that when the lockers are engaged, the locker lights on the dash keep flashing. Kind of saying as they are not engaged.
I know I am locked when I push the button, and can disengage without any issues. The installer broke the plunger in the front diff, and replaced it with a new one.
I have searched and have not found the exact answer.
I did come across this thread: https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/show...ubicon+lockers
On post #7 from Wayolifette there are some pics.
Is this what you think the problem might be?
Also, is the sensor they mention in that thread the plunger?
Any help is very much appreciated.
Everything else is great with the new gears. Should've done it many years ago.

Thank you for replying- They are locking, as mentioned in the post. All is well, except that when I engage the lockers, the lights on the dash are flashing and not telling me I'm locked. Like they used to do before the regear.
But the lockers are engaging as they should. Do you think this is just a plunger/sensor issue?

I haven't paid him yet. He gave me a great price for install and said he would fix it. But as he is a 4X4 specialist and this board caters just to JK's, I figured the guys on here would know best based on the details I gave in the original post. I have known him for a few years and was referred to him by several club members. I have no doubt he'll fix it, or he doesn't get paid. It sounds like it is the plunger or sensor thingy, just want to verify with the forum. I'm very mechanically inclined, but I don't know enough about gears.

Thank you for all the feedback. Another quick question? Because "both" locker lights are flashing. And you engage the lockers rear to front.
Is it safe to say that the likelyhood that the rear is messed up? Or are both plungers installed wrong.

I bet you will find they are both installed wrong.
