For rock crawlers suck down winches are a great tool to get you over obstacles. For 95% of the jeeps on here will not need it. I have a front suck down winch, and has helped me numerous times.

Funny video but even funnier how most people think a suck down winch is pointless.. I've seen them used on the trail and they are very useful in the front. I'm sure they are useful in the rear but not as much because most the time you need it while climbing.
