I am thinking about getting my Jeep lined with LineX. Can anyone tell me any pros (besides easy clean up) and cons to having this done?

Are you talking about doing the inside or outside of the jeep? Either way, easy to clean is the opposite of how I'd describe it, that rough surface holds on to everything. I don't have it on my jeep but I've got it in my truck bed. I'm going to bedline the inside of my jeep but going with a product more like Monstaliner. While it's probably not as tough, it should be much easier to keep clean since it's not such a rough surface.

I'm speaking of doing the inside. I'm sick of the water soaked carpets so wanna pull them and toss em.

I had mine linex'd a few years ago for the same reason, water soaked carpet. With the linex I leave the drain plugs out, doors off, and spidershade on. Even when it rains, it's an easy cleanup. Not too many cons, it may be louder but I can't really tell since I added RIPP headers. It's loud anyway. Couple things to keep in mind - buy a dremmel, makes removing the heat shield goop easier - you'll see in the picture the hooks for the rear seat need to be trimmed down with the dremmel after the linex otherwise it won't latch because it gets too thick.

The only con I have is the local linex shop like ripping people off. If you can go to two different places and get quotes. Some places are half the cost of others. Great stuff though.

I'll second the monstaliner. We put it in our YJ 3 years ago and it's holding up great. The key is good prep work.

Cons - in my JK it increases heat in the front floorboards. It's a bit louder.

I still MUCH prefer my lined floor over carpet.

Pros: -It protects way better than OEM carpet. -Easy to clean, and more-or-less zero maintenance. -Looks really awesome. -Many colors available for a bit higher cost.-Texture grips loose items better than many other competitors. -Warranty good at an Line-X installer. -Professional staff with extensive training and experience coating all kinds of stuff with Line-X.

Cons: -Not inexpensive, will cost more than MonstaLiner if you do it yourself. -Will fade from sun-bleaching unless you spend more on UV-resistant type. -Once it is on, it is on forever. -Less insulated than OEM carpet. I am still very pleased and have no regrets about spending the cash. My RockHard 4x4 Cage also had Line-X applied. I would recommend it to anyone considering a bedliner type of coating.

That is about what I paid for my JKUR in Charleston, SC. Maybe labor is a bit higher where you are?

I paid $800 for my 2 door with me stripping the interior pieces. It's the UV stuff. They removed the heat/sound insulation.
