I have 18's and I hate that every tire is E load range.

I did see that the weight listed on tirerack for the 35 12.5 18 BFG TA KM2 is listed at 67 lbs but it could be wrong. I've seen them listed in the 70+lb range on other sites. Has anyone had any of these shipped to them, the shipping weight would be right on the label.

I don't believe the weight is far off.

I have two sets shipped to and there was not shipping slip.

However, I have one sitting in my garage. I will weigh it when I get home.

Did you get a chance to weigh the tire? I don't want to choose a tire on weight alone but it seems that most of the MT tires out there provide similar traction, so my next factor is weight and looks last. Is anyone running KM2s in the 35x12.50x18 size that would have some pics?

I weighed it today and although my scale is a bit clunky, it weighed almost exactly half way between the 65 lbs and 70 lbs tick marks,
so 67 lbs is good enough for government work.

BTW, there are definite differences between the different MT tires out there.
I picked the KM@ because it is good balance between on and off road performance for my needs.

For example:
The Toyo MT are a more rugged tire for rock crawling. All those extra pounds are serving some purpose.

The MTZs, SSTs and Toyo MTs have a wider footprint so they provide a bit more flotation.

The Interco's M16s are better in mud.

But for my taste and wallet, when it comes to a tire that does well (maybe not best) in each one of those categories and has excellent road manners (quiet, lower rolling resistance, great handling, excellent wet traction) and provides less unsprung weight, the KM2 is a winner.

There a lot of great choices, just choose the right one for you.

Goodyear Duratrac 35x12.5 16's are 64lbs according to tire rack.

When thinking tires. Don't just say lightest. Look at what tire will be best for your uses. Then pick the tire that best suits your need, with the lowest weight. I love my bfg km2 35x12.50x17. I wanted Toyo mt but these tires tread lasts longer and they are great on road and off road and they are way lighter :-)

Whatever you eventually decide on will be best for you.

Keep this in mind with the KM2's, nearly everything I've read and everyone I've asked to measure the 35" KM2's, they measure out to about 33.5". I love the looks of those tires and those are the ones I wanted but I couldn't justify spending $400 more for a set of tires that measured about 1" shorter than all of the other 35's out there. I ended up going with the Nitto Trail Grapplers in 35X12.50X18 but was not able to weigh them before mounting them. Most say the Trail Grapplers weigh around 75-80 lbs.

Sorry to hijack some but still somewhat on track. What about 37 km2s. I could get 37s at 70 lbs with less weight then alot of 35s! That's weird .
