i dont see it as being so bad...
i've seen tons of lifted 2wd chebbys, trying that "prerunner look".
and i KNOW that my 4x will go plenty of places in 2wd that i shouldnt be in the first place.
think of it as an "SUV" AND a convertable (that you can still take the doors off). Even a 4x2 jeep would be stronger in many areas than say a "car" (especially a convertable).
so WHY NOT... if thats HIS/HER choice...?

did the Chevy Nova turn into a GEO or something like that...?
sure the "Jeep" logo has been on all sorts of creations.
BUT, you have to admit, in THIS topic, we are "in fact" still talking about a Jeep Wrangler JK. (am i right?)
not trying to be an ass, i'm almost a freak... work with a brother.

I think it's great to offer 2wd to people that Just want a Jeep to have a Jeep, or live in an area that does not offer 4wd.
California is a great example. What a fun beach vehicle, load a surfboard, lift the Jeep but don't have to pay for the extra expense of 4wd, insurance and gas and most will never know it's 2wd.

ok guys if i really cared what you guys thought about 2wd jeeps being pointless and stupid i would have gotten a 4x4. so since i dont care if you guys like my jeep or not i would like to leave the pointess insults out of my thread. i am just here to talk jeeps and get some questions answered for some new knowlege. so if you dont have any helpful info to the topic at hand i would appreciate if you would not post on my thread. those of you who are helping me i really appreciate it and i am really enjoying learning from you guys.
Thanks

My thoughts exactly! I have a 2wd and have gone everywhere my friend with a Rubi has gone. I've had to work a little harder at a couple points but I haven't had any problems. This includes runs at Sand Dunes at Pismo Beach, Hollister Hills and some North Tahoe trails.
