anthing that would make my jeep not last as long. i have allways heard that lifting a truck or a jeep is harder on the machanics or something like that, and will cause something to give out sooner. i do not know what would brake or wear faster causes i am very new at this stuff. or is there any truth to that?

its all the same, its the same jeep as a rubicon.

You'll even save money if you decide to regear. You'll only need to regear the back.
are you talking about saving money on gas if i regear?

Adding anything to anything increases the weight of that object.

In a vehicles case (any vehicle) more weight ultimately increases strain and workload on any drive-train parts. The drive-train basically being anything that makes the Jeep go.

That said, if you never really off-road it, the strain on the parts won't be as bad as a regularly off-roaded vehicle. There are tons of things to factor in but at the end of the day, we're talking about removing "time" off the life of the vehicle really. Not necessarily that your Jeep will just break one day.

To sell more JKs, even to those who don't want 4 wheel drive, so they can keep making them for us who do. We're a niche market, and to keep selling us what we want it needs to be financially viable. They won't do it just because we want them to.

My bet is most of us who use their JK's as daily drivers spend the majority of the time in 2wd.

It is not a car, it is a Jeep. I am sorry if you don't understand the whole "it's a Jeep thing", but we have chosen to drive Jeeps because it is a lifestyle that owners of Camry's, Sentra's, Touregs, and all the rest don't understand.

O.P. If I was you I would do a 2.5" B.B with shock extenders, and a 1" Body lift. It will give you the room to fit 35's while keeping your COG lower all for less than $400.

Enjoy your Jeep, even though it is only a half a Jeep Kidding
