Myself I'm partial to the LoD sliders. They're solid enough to take a hit from a rock or a tree and still serve a functional purpose as a side step.

Default Feelin Shrocky

I had the OEM side steps on my Sahara when I first got it and they did a great job of getting the kids (4 &6) into the Jeep...and they also keep mud and rocks from beating up the doors too badly.

However, to be much better protected for wheelin, I've moved to the Shrockworks rock sliders. They are incredibly well built and they make a good step too. They are great!

I have the Enhanced mopar rails... they do work as a step, Im sitting 5" taller than stock. (3.5" lift and 35's) my GF is 5' tall and the enhanced step works for her but she has a hard time when shes wearing a skirt or shoes cause its still a high step.

Factory side steps off a Sahara here. I purchased a set of take-offs that I found from someone on Craigslist for $100. They won't give you much in the line of protection from body damage but they are a great step and keep the spray and rockchips to a minimum...

would these work with the Stock Rubicon Rails ?

Bunch of bolts. Anyone see these in person to see if all we need are some holes ?

I've been wondering about this "problem", too. My wife is 5'4" and I'm looking at a 4" Teraflex with 37" Nittos. There's no way she'd be able to hop in, but that may not be a bad thing
