Lifted 2 door

Lifted 2 door
I'm in the market for a new jeep and considering a 2 door vs my old 4 door. Since I can't leave anything alone my question is how stable is a lifted 2 door on the road. I will be using this to drive for work. Sometimes 5-6 hrs away. My plans would be 2.5-3 inches with 37's. Maybe lower when I install flats. Low center of gravity with 37's. Anyone have a similar setup on a 2 door that can give an honest opinion on road manners. Thanks guys

I have a 13 two door. I have driven the first 16K miles on 34's and the past 10K miles on 37's since purchasing new Feb 13. Most of my trips are 3-8 hours one way. I drove the first 24K miles on stock 3.73 gears and now I have 4.56. I also use the AEV Procal. Next week the 2" TF spacer lift will be removed and the 3.5" Game Changer will replace it.

2.5" on a 2 door is a great set up in my opinion. We have a Rock Krawler 2.5" X Factor Plus, the rear is a 3 link. We drive this on the roads and highways with no handling issues at all.

3" lift with 37" Krawlers. Probably 15,000 miles with this setup so far. Handles just fine on the road. Drove from Seattle to Moab and back without issues. It's all about having the correct caster and toe to make them drive right. When I first did my lift and was running 35's I didn't do an alignment and the thing was flighty as hell. Could barely hold my lane on the freeway. Changed lower control arms in the front and adjusted to just 5/8" longer and it was magic. Drove better then stock. Ran the 35's for a year then upgraded to the 37's.

37x13.50R15's with a zone offroad 3" lift and xenon flat flares. It seems to drive fine for handling but had to remove the rock sliders due to rubbing over bumps and turns. I have a 1" body lift on order and trimming the sliders and pinch seams this weekend.
