Lift/Tire Setup for 2011 JK Sport
I'm sure there may be a thread already on this topic but I didn't really find what I needed on what I already researched. I just wanted advise on a lift/tire/wheel setup for my 2011 Sport.
2011 Jeep Wrangler Sport
No lift
265x75x16 Tires
16 stock sport wheels
everything else is stock
LIFT
i want a 4" lift but i also do not want to regear or pretty much change anything. The lowest I will settle for is 2". I don't want to run into any problems if I do the 4". Which would be the best lift without having to regear or running into future problems?
WHEELS
i want to run 15s but heard it's a bit difficult to find the right fitment because of the bigger calipers on newer wranglers. i basically would like to have someone who has a 2011 sport running 15s to tell me the specs on their wheels (backspacing, offset, size, etc) I do not want to run spacers.
TIRES
i want 35s. specifically BFG Mud Terrains KM2s. I'm not sure what the middle number should be (35x?x15) I like the fat tire look but also would like them to fit properly.
So I would like to put all of these together harmoniously so I can have a rugged setup that will not or does not cause any problems to my JK.
Any advise/suggestions will be helpful

With a 4" lift you will run into problems with your driveshafts. I'd recommend a 2.5" lift with 35" km2s on 16" wheels. That's way your get that big tire small wheel look, without having to worry about hitting your calipers.

Checkout the RK (Rock Krawler) 3.5" lifts. They have a few different ones depending on your budget. I have the 2.5" Max travel and love it.
For the tires, on a 15" you can get 35 / 12.5 / 15. This is what I'm running on a 2012. Wheel is 15 X 8 with 3.75" backspacing. Great combo!

IMO 35's will look too small with a 4 inch lift. Unless you want 37's, I'd stick with a 2 or 2.5 inch lift. Also, I'd go with at least a 16 inch wheel. That way you won't have to worry about whether or not the wheel you like will clear your brakes.

You have a ton of options for lifts so that is your preference based on what you are willing spend. My setup has a ton of similarities to what you are asking for.
2011 JKU sport. 3.5 llift, 315x75xr16 KM2s (which is pretty much 35x12.5) The middle number you want is 12.50 and they will stick out just past your fenders for that wider look. Or you can go 13.50 which is very wide but not as common.
As far as re gearing, you will not need to re gear. But you will feel the pain especially if you have 3.21s. I have 3.73 gears and it is tolerable at best. It is on my short list of things to come due to how much of a dog my jeep has become when on any type of incline.
Lift height is your preference, with a shorter wheelbase 2 door I would stick with a 2.5. You will probably net a little over 3" and it will fit the look of your jeep well with 35s while keeping your center of gravity lower than if you went with a higher lift.

This part is not true. On a 2012, for a 15" you need 3.75" backspacing and there will not be a problem. More is ok for 2011 and earlier. I think 4.5" is correct, but double check with people that have pre 2012 to be sure if going this route.
