Lift with Rubicon Electronic Disconnects
#11
rears
my BDS 3" kit came with spacers that effectively lowered the rear sway bar 1" or so.
I think I'd rather have longer sway bar links.
Why do they do this, and wouldn't longer sway bar links have been cheaper? (for them)?

Manually disconnect?
If you do a small leveling kit then longer drop links are not really needed. The Teraflex Budget boost typically moves the rear drop links to the front and replaces with longer rear links.
You will not harm the E-disco by installing a lift. Even though you have the E-disco we still recommend to manually disconnect. We recommend this for a few reasons. Number one being that it is possible to over rotate the sway bar and when you put weight back down on the tire it will bend the link. Number two is because the link and sway bar could limit your down travel.

Talked to my service guy this am (I. have a life time warranty so am havin them do the install). He is. Ordering the Mopar sway bar links for 2-3" lifted rubicons they are made for the e-disco. - am still gonna go the quick disconnect route with them. Then I can e-disco the trails n stuff here and quick disco any trails where I will really be flexing just I case.

That is what the guy from Northridge and the guy from RockKrawler both suggested. They both said use the edisco for easy trails and unpaved roads and disconnect for serious trails. This works for me since my part of Ohio kinda lacks serious trails. Lol. The service guy at my dealership says the Mopar links are all you need but he drives a Toyota not sure if I trust him lmao. They do sell the mopar links on Quadratec for 109$

No, absolutely. Different conditions call for different approaches.
In my case I decided to stay connected after some razzing from other Rubicon owners. I went down a very short descent at an angle and heard grinding when I got to the bottom. Swaybar link was hung up on my virgin Synergy draglink I had just installed and the swaybar link tab on the axle was bent in addition to my picture above.
If you're anywhere close to flexing out, just don't make the same mistake I did.
