Question Lift Questions (Tyres and lift)

hi
I have a 4 door JK.
I am looking at lifting my JK up to 2". I am worried about the warranty with a lift kit and thinking about 33" tyres to get the extra inch and a bit.

Has there been many problems with the transfer case failing after small suspension lifts? Is this a common problem?

Could I expect around 1" lift when going to 33" tyres?

any help is great
thanks

1 extra inch of tire, which is diameter, will yield 1/2 inch of lift, which is radius, if you're talking about raising pumpkins.

Tyre. That's like a british tire, right?
Just kidding. The spelling just caught my eye

hes right if you are going form a 32 to a 33 you will get about 1/2 give or take more clearence. some 33s are not a true 33 however

to answer your main question, I don't think you would have any problems of anything failing due to a 2 inch lift and 33 tires. I think you'll be fine. however dealers could argue differently (depends on the dealer) I've had warranty work done on my jeep with 35s and a 5" lift. the lift and tire combo you're describing is actually hardly noticeable.

33's fit with no lift if you are just looking for bigger meats. As mentioned tire manufacturers vary as much as 1/2 inch in "stated" tire sizing.
