Default Lift Questions....

I was going to install one of the more inexpensive 2 inch suspension lifts which only involves the rubber spacers. 2 questions. 1; do I also need to replace the shocks? 2; I'm using the 17 inch rubicon rims. How big of a tire can I mount with out any other modifications?

I'd recommend the Teraflex 2.5" budget boost with shock extensions. It's a very complete kit. If you go with another 2 inch or more kit, you're going to either want new shocks or shock extensions to prevent overextending and ruining your shocks. I run 35's with cut fenders on mine and zero rubbing. I wheeled it a few times with full fenders and it didn't rub either.

If you go with a 2", you could still easily run 35's, but you may rub the fenders a little offroad if you don't cut them.

As for the stock wheels, you can put pretty much what ever size you want on there, I'd just keep them 12.5" wide or less. Once you get wider than the stock width on stock wheels, you are going to want some wheel spacers to prevent rubbing at full turn.

I'm under an hour away from you, if you have any questions just let me know.

Everything that KH202 mentioned is correct. However if you want to improve your ride then you might want to invest in a set of quality shocks.

A set of wheel spacers will give you a wider stance, a more aggressive look, and a wider tire. This may interest you especially considering wheel spacers are realitively inexpensive.

If you are planning on going with a 35" tire you will want to consider strenthening your tailgate because the extra weight hanging back there could cause damage to the tailgate. Teraflex makes a nice bracket so you can retain the stock tire carrier. Other companies make rear bumpers with tire carriers to prevent just this from happening.

If you have any questions feel free to PM us.

Is it necessary to get an adjustable track bar when you put a lift on

It depends. At 2.5" you don't HAVE to, but it doesn't hurt, kind of right on the brink of being required. My kit came with a rear track bar bracket, front stays as is
