Default Lift kit suggestios

Alright guys I currently have the rough country 4" short arm lift. And just like the name it's rough, but has done what I have wanted out of it. Gained ground clearance bigger tires and treads over sand decently. But now I'm looking to upgrade. And was told by a friend if I where to go with a long arm kit it would give me a smoother ride and a lot more flex.

Rough country has an upgrade long arm "Y" kit available. Has anyone used the "Y" style long arms? Will it actually smooth out the ride anymore or should I go with a different manufacturer?

I drive down a lot of washboard caliche roads and that's why I'm looking for a smoother ride. Don't wanna get rid of my Jk for another vehicle just yet.

Please inform me with y'all's expertise Jk knowledge!

Thanks!

Sounds like what you need is different springs and shocks. Upgrading the arms alone will not significantly change the stiffness of the ride.

I love the ride of my 3.5 RockKrawler springs matched up with Bilstien 5100's. I heard alot about the RC stiff ride. I'm really happy I went RK

I can second that. I have the Rock Krawler 3.5 inch Max Travel kit with Fox IFP shocks and it rides just as good if not better than stock.

Shocks and springs will make a huge difference. Most of our customers love the ride of the 5100's. They are an excellent shock and relatively inexpensive. If you spend more time off road then Fox is another great option but lets not forget about the RRD's that Rock Krawler makes. PM us if you would like a quote.

Your referring to "5100's" as in the spring rate? Or model number? And I will look up the RK kits. Thanks guys!

And will the 3.5" springs work with the 4" lift components I already have on the jeep?

They should keep you very close. Are the arms adjustable? What about the track bars?

As stated above the 5100's are the Bilstien shocks.
