Default 37 braking?

I asked this question in another thread with no reply so I figured I'd make a new thread since I ha enter been able to find the answer searching. My question is how well does the jku brake with 37s and are y'all running big brake kits? I want 37s but I also have a 20' sea chaser that I wanna keep towing with it instead of breaking out my 99 ram 2500

I'm not running larger than stockers, but unless you run larger rims, you might have trouble fitting larger brakes in there IMHO.

I'm not 100% sure but I believe the Tera flex kit works on our stock rims. I have also heard the calibers from teraflex is identical to the the 1500 calibers.

I'm running KM2 35's. Haven't been thrilled. Huge chunks ripping off. Slits in the side walls. And lost a bead in snow. I'm thinking about going Goodyear or Toyo next time.

I run the big brake kit on 37"s. Before the kit my wife refused to drive it. After the big brakes it's better than stock on pizza cutters.

Best mod ever if you daily drive on 37's.

I tow my M1101 with no issues with stock brakes. Of course it has surge brakes so that is probably not a valid comparison. One nice thing about the teraflex kit is that the pads are held off the rotor when the brakes are not engaged. Their rotors are also slotted to help with cooling (slotting increases surface area thus cooling faster).

I have ran 37's for my daily driver with out any issues. However if you will be pulling something and the trailer does not have a brake kit then I would opt for the teraflex big brake upgrade.
