Depends on a bunch of variables. Probably going to need a l;ittle more detail here.

1. Which model jeep?

2. 2 or 4 door?

3. what tire wheel combo are you going to run?

Which lift are you looking to have installed?

That's a matter of opinion. You don't need much of a lift to clear 33" tires. If you're going with a 3" lift you might think about 35" tires.

With 33" tires you probably won't NEED to replace your driveline or gears, but it wouldn't hurt. With 35" tires you'll probably want to replace at least your gears, but the driveline is still optional. For best results though, replacing both would be recommended - which is why your dealer probably said that.

Here is what I have .. I have a 4 door. It has a 4.5 RE suspension lift. I am running 35" tires and have enough room for the tires .... when i am flexing and such.

I HAD to have my drivelines replaced. It wasn't a choice. I mean if I went smaller, but with having a 4 door with the lift I went with it was required.

Gearing ... yah I should have alos. BUT IT IS EXPENSIVE! Ahh ... I am running 3.73s

It took a while to get used to at first .. with different accelaratoin rate and running different RPMs in all gears.

The hardest thing my jeep has trouble with now ... is hills. I lose all my acceleration and power. I have no 4H offroading. Its 4 LO or 2wd. And .. gas of course, but thats expected.

Hopefully you don't have to go the route of regearing and new drivelines ... you can save some dough and get some fun stuff like lockers!

You re-gear at the differentials, not the transmission, find a new dealer that one doesn't know what he's talking about.

In fact you could go with a 2.5 BB, which most dealers are calling a 3in lift and not change anything. most people run their stock shafts just fine with a BB .Larger tires are what calls for re-gearing, depending on what you have now.

Do a TFBB or an REBB and you'll run 33's just fine, if you wanna extra inch do a more 1in body lift. Here's mine with a RE2in BB and a more 1in BL
