Sounds like you have a good handle on how you are going to do it...


One more thing to throw in there, get the Northridge 4x4 bolt kit and do it at the same time if you havent already.

A good floor jack like mentioned, and also the stock scissor jack you have. I used the floor jack for the frame, and I used the scissor for raising and lowering the axle. I don't recommend trying to do both sides at once. Do one side at a time. It's fast and must safer and easier if you don't have an automotive live like previously mentioned.

Some other VERY handy tools are:
  • Breaker Bar
  • Metric RATCHETING open end wrenches (especially 10, 15, 16, 18, 19, and 21)
  • Razor knife for trimming battery tray
  • pry bar
  • WD-40
