The Zone kits are less complete then Rough Country kits. They ignore steering in the kit and offer cam bolts as an option as well as a steering stabilizer in either black or white. They claim they "custom" valve their shocks for the vehicle but when you look up the part numbers, that custom valving is the same for a variety of vehicles including a 3/4 ton dodge pick up.

The rear track bar drop bracket will center the axle but will also make the jeep feel more top heavy and and increase the body roll in turns and off camber situations. They could have raised the axle side mount and made the Jeep more stable but it would have cost more and is harder to do as a bolt on.

For what they offer you might as well buy a good set of coils and put together your own components as you need them.

I have rough country coils with rancho 9000 shocks. I know someone else mentioned staying away from rough country and I won't get into a debate rather just say that my lift has been good to me. I run 35's and get mad flex. Also I drive my jeep daily, and the adjustable shocks lets me dial my shocks to make my jeep feel stock (suspension-wise) on streets.

Thanks for all the options I am getting. I had a 4 inch rough country on my tj before I bought the jk and it worked good for me. I just didn't know if there were any other options in the cheaper price range. If I do decide to buy coils from somewhere and then shocks somewhere else what brand shocks are decent for a daily driver.

OME seem to be a pretty soft shock. I have TF 9550 shocks and they're not too bad. It just depends on what coils you run.

Many swear by the Blistein 5100's. I personally run them on my AEV lift kit and thought initially they were on the stiff side. After the first 1000 miles they softened up and especially after I added some bumpers and armor.

Please explain how a shock can soften up after 1000 miles?

Loaded question? I don't believe they actually have a break in, but I could be wrong. I do see added weight making the shock feel softer. Leverage. My little boy can't compress the shocks by hand, but I can. Is it actually softer? No

If you are looking for ride comfort between the 5100's and the OME nitro sport shocks I would go with the OME. I have actually run both.
I think most people run 5100's because they are pretty and people that don't know better rave about them on the forums because they bought them.
