Default Lift help

I am looking for a new lift for my jk. I am thinking of going for about 4 inches of lift to fit 37s. I have been looking at a teraflex lift and i’ve also heard good things about clayton off-road lift kits. I was just wondering what your thoughts are on these two companies and what one i should go with?

Between those two I would go Clayton I see a 3.5" and 4.5" lift from them.. Personally if I were to buy a kit I would go Metal Cloak 3.5" https://metalcloak.com/jk-wrangler-3...uspension.html or Synergy 4" https://www.polyperformance.com/susp...tem-4-4-5-lift

That is pretty much the gold standard, no pun intended, for our JKs at the time being. Quality components, quality company. Take a look at the bushings they use in their components, and the thought put into some of their designs compared to other companies. If by chance MC is something you're interested in, get on their mailing list because they do run 10% off or free shipping (sometimes combined), but they are usually flash sales which you're notified by email about.

Made in the USA, best riding joints out there, one of the best corrosion resistant finishes out there, kits are complete, longest extended coils for the lift height in the industry, great fit and finish, good instructions, great warrantee, good people.

Why are you looking at teraflex (made in china) and clayton?

I personally have had great experience with TeraFlex, no problems with my lift from them, great tail gate reinforcement brackets, great Falcon shocks (made in USA). If I had to order another lift...yes I have heard MetalCloak 3.5 game changer is awesome lift I would strongly consider over TeraFlex, but I believe TeraFlex has done a lot of research & development on their products so I have bought many of their products including HD ball joints which have not failed me yet. I have MetalCloak over lander fenders and they are great as well so I’m not really biased to one product. My advice is to research and by the best product that you can afford, if it is cheap then stay away until you can afford a better product!

I had 0 issues with the TF lift on my old Jeep, good company with a good product. That being said, I'm going with Metalcloak on this build. Every bit of research I've done says they're a superior company with a superior product for about the same $$.

There is a wide variance of people's budgets, skill level, and knowledge, and all those things come in to play when building. There's not one "right kit" for every single person, and there are so many ways to accomplish the same thing. My jeep is a combination of parts from various manufacturers, and there is nothing wrong with that either. The most important thing is that everything is addressed that needs to be addressed, and therein lies the pickle when lifting a rig. So many kits are incomplete, missing this or that component which you really need. Also, many people don't consider additional wear and tear on steering components when lifting and adding larger tires. So, the Metalcloak kit is a nice, simple, quality complete package to throw on there. You can't really go wrong with it. That does not mean that something else can't work just as well for your own use, but when you're getting into these kinds of mods, not everyone knows what the heck to look for, or more importantly, what is missing or what the difference between components different manufacturers make.
