Lift help!
I just bought a 2009 JKU Rubicon and plan on lifting it pretty soon but I don't know what brand or what size lift I should get. Its a daily driver and I don't plan to take it offroad much yet plus im a college student so I can't afford a really expensive lift. Im leaning towards a 3.5"-4.5" lift and 35" tire but I don't know how this would look or what brands I should go with. Any help is great and I love pics! Thanks!

If you're on a budget and don't plan to offroad much, a 2.5 in lift is fine. It'll fit 35s as long as you get spacers or new wheels with an offset. I got the rugged ridge coil kit with new shocks and its perfect for a daily driver. I offroad at least 1x a month and still manage to go where the bigger guys go, albeit with a little more effort. And i don't even have 35s yet. I may eventually change the shocks as I find them a little rough and I've heard bilstein makes a great shock for the JK. My 2 cents.

2.5" should be OK for 35's, depending on how wide. Take a look at the Teraflex 2.5" BB, very cost-effective and easy to install. They also have some good kits to go higher, but the higher you go, the more $$$ you have to spend.

I have 2.5" TF with shocks.. and roughly 34+ tires.. see specs below. mainly Daily Driver (DD) 30 miles round trip. Off Road maybe a handful each year..
Start by doing a search, you'll find picture threads on everything you can think of.
Second: make sure you are ready for the unplanned.. for instance, I screwed up my tailgate by carrying my new larger spare on there for 3 months, so I had to drop $800 on a tire carrier after I drove around with it off the Jeep for 6 months. (some will tell you you'll be fine, i'm proof you should plan otherwise).
Do a lot of research before you buy. I've read that if you get in the 3.5" and higher you'll start impacting driveshafts (ds) and need control arms, etc.
Recommendation: go with 2.5 or 3", you'll need lift, possibly shocks or extensions, tires, new wheels or spacers, tire carrier.
Hope this helps.

I recommend the TeraFlex 2.5" Coil Lift with shock extenders so you won't have to purchase longer shocks as you can use your existing ones. Dave at NorthRidge4x4.com can hook you up with a great price (less than what is posted on their website). You can either go with 33's or 35's... I am going with 35's. If you go with 35's you may want to re-gear. That can get expensive.
Good luck and welcome to the forum.

If you're on a big time buget a 2.5" budget boost will do just fine with 35's. I tend to lean towards Teraflex myself, but I know several folks running Rough Country budget boosts and do just fine with those too... It all comes down to $$$
