FYI I paid $560 for front/rear 4.88 yukons with both master install kits as well ass the added lifetime extended warranty. I'm actually in the middle of a warranty for front ring gear right now. I blew it up Saturday, contacted them Monday, sent pictures to verify the part numbers Monday evening, and the new ring and pinion will be at my door in 1 hour from now according to the ups tracker...

Damn that is a good price! I was quoted $2500cad for gears (4.56) and install kits per axle up here in Calgary, Alberta!

Find a different shop. That's insane. $800/axle US dollars may be reasonable but 3X that and, like I said, should include a free reach-around since that's what that shop wants to do to you. Parts likely cost them only around a few hundred US bucks.
