Checking some of the advertised kits from our vendors, i can see why lot of people will recommend RK 2.5 flex system for example, start there, has pretty much all you need to run 35's( the RK rear trackbar will have to be welded, but you can buy the Teraflex one for $100 and change more), If you go with any 3.5" kit , you'll be shelling a lot more money in no time for parts you didn't know you wanted/needed, mainly to keep the geometry in place. Sure people love the correction brackets, we'll always have something to defend until that piece brakes and take something else along with it, if you're wheeling your thing, you want LCA's, i'll have ACE sliders for sale in around 2 weeks if you want them, not even one scratch yet, i should have gone with frame mounted sliders, and yes, i've defended the ACE ones even though i haven't put the fackers to its paces yet, i don't want them anymore, and i regret not spending $200 more on REAL sliders

Why are you limiting yourself to only those two lifts? That's just what the guys at your local 4WP are pushing?

As noted above, you should also do a little research on the issues caused by lifting so you aren't caught off guard when the front driveshaft spews all of its grease or whatever...

Just looked at the RE lift. It uses ca drop brackets AND cam bolts? Interesting choice.

I am not limited to those two. Have followed AEV for a long time, looked at the RE because it was a little more cost effective and similar characteristics. There will be potential issues with any modification you do to a Jeep, got it. Bottom line I want to run 35's, hit the trail on weekends and have a decent daily driver. The RE is around $1200 and the AEV is around $1800, I am open to any other suggestions and I will keep looking around. You could always recommend something that isn't such an interesting choice..

I installed the Rock Krawler 2.5 flex system from Northridge in July. I netted about 3", maybe a little more. It's nice. No sagging to speak of at all. It will fit 35's.
I also run the ace rock sliders. They have taken a beating in the only trip to Rausch Creek I've been on since the install, but did the job and still look really good.
I researched the hell out of lifts, went with the RK with Bilstein 5100's, and I'm very happy

I have a RK 2.5" and run 35's it drives very well in Day to Day driving and handled the Rubicon trail no problem. If I were buying tomorrow tho I would really look at a Metal Cloak lift.

I too have been running RK2.5 flex paired with Fox shocks for roughly 3 years without sagging , including poison spyder bumpers and a winch. I've run uwharrie national forest and Rausch Creek without issues. My jeep is not my DD but when I drive it handles really good in the road

Personally, I'd think the requirement to remove the bumper in order to install the winch would be a benefit. Winches are sometimes stolen from parked Jeeps. I'd rather have mine buried in the bumper system so that it's not a simple unbolt-n-go for whoever else might want it.
