Lift advice!!

I do drive the manual tranny, so may not have those issues. I don't have anywhere to work on the jeep...which is why I can't do the lift myself. I knew the alignment was important, but the shop guy brought up the cam alignment. I assume that means putting on cam bolts...which I've read negative things about recently, and that adjustable lower control arms is the beter way to go.
why do you say the procomp lift isn't so great?

Just throwing my 2¢ out there... I have an OME 2" HD lift on my 2 door. It got me about 3.5". Because of the extra lift, I did have to get adjustable track bar up front, as well as adjustable lower front CA's. The lift itself took me about 4 hours to do alone. Learned alot. The arms and track bar took maybe an hour total.

as for the pro comp. that purchase was my biggest regret. it squeeks, rattles, lovely death wobble to it. and the shocks burn out quick! but other than that loved it (sarcasm)

I do like taking the jeep off road, but I don't do it very often...a few times a year with other jeepers and lighter stuff by myself while camping in deserts and national forests like Sequoia with dirt roads that aren't very technical, but require some 4WD. I've only gone over some not so big rocks on one trip (Ocotillo), but did do some scraping and banging along the way...no real damage though.
I take it easy, but I take it.

How does this lift compare to the OME 3" lift?

Any JK would benefit from a set of front lower adj arms, since there's no way to truly set the alignment with stock components. This kit raises the front 3.1" and 2.1" in the rear.

throw a leveling kit on there and get the 33's. you will gain off road performance without losing street comfort. just remember when you start changing out suspension components your jeep will never ride like it used too.

And best of all...it's relatively inexpensive, but still great TF quality!
