Default Lift for 2010 JKU

Wife has 2 1/2 lift on her Jeep. How can we go higher without buying a new lift and is that even possible? She's been wheeling and now loves it!!!

Which lift do you have? Why do you want to go higher?

Agree with above, more info is needed.

I did the same thing recently -- I have the RK 2.5" max travel. I wanted to go higher and got a great deal on Evo 4" springs (even trade...).

I swapped out the springs and adjusted the sway bar links in front (made longer). I then emailed my shock part numbers to Evo. I found out my front shocks were already the correct model, but had to replace the rear.

Also keep in mind that when moving from 2.5" to 4", you will need a new front DS (if 4 door) and will probably want a steering correction kit (drag link flip). The steering can wait, it's just annoying but won't break anything. I did the swap Easter morning and am getting the Synergy drag link kit this week.

I believe she has a Mopar lift, done right at dealer. I have a 4" lift on mine and she wants some extra height. She had Mopar springs and Bilstein shocks.

Does she want the height for tire clearance? What size tires do you want to run?

She wants the height. I believe that I could just replace the springs with the ones from the Mopar 4" kit.

You could do that but as mentioned in a previous post other things are effected when you change your lift height. You need to think about drive shafts and steering geometry. Also what will you be using the rig for? Mostly street driving or hitting the trails? If you are hitting the trails and all you change are the spring then your down travel will be compromised without changing the shocks. PM us if you want to give us many more details so we can get you set up correctly.

2 dr or 4 dr , does the current lift have adjustable control arms? is it a budget boost? if the dealer did the lift, do you have the build sheet? what size tires? if only wanting 33-35 a 3.5" lift will suffice and give you nice lift.
What 4" lift do you have and does she like that?

if a 2dr you will need to replace the DS with 4" lift - also will need to make sure you have adjustable control arms to get your pinion and keep the ride as good as you have it now.
what ever you decide, don't cut corners or you will open the nickel and dime issue bag...
IMO stay away from any lift that uses a dropped pitman (they never seem to fit) and also avoid any that use the stock track bar mount only to mount their relocation bracket - make sure the track bar relocation bracket mounts to the axle tubing, you'll get the idea as you look at various lifts.

I have Clayton 3.5" full lift running 35's and it's great. I'll probably be going to 4" spring to run 37's -
