I dont know a whole lot about them, but have been told they are about the only soltuion for what i want to do. Im looking to run high speeds on farm roads, with potholes and washboards, comfortably. The distances I cover are too great to crawl along. It would take me all day to get anywhere.
What are the pros and cons to them?
I see alot of people just running fronts, how come?
Do rear coilovers have a benefit?
What would the cost be if I installed myself? Ive got a neighbor thats a pro mobile welder. He works for free.
Thanks guys.

I dont know a whole lot about coil overs but Speed Bumps, like the ones teraflex makes, would be useful in your situation. They're used for high speed offroad by absorbing more of the impact after your springs bottom out. They're pretty expensive though, they'lll run you about a grand.

When you said 'high speed' I immediately thought of this video from Teraflex:

gets good around 2:45

I have the EVO double through down system on the front and rear of my JKU. I use that Jeep mostly for the dunes and I can tell you that the ride is great for going over big woops and jumping. The faster you go the smoother it seems to get. I put the system on by myself over the past winter. It was a lot of work to install but I love the results. The benefits are exactly that. There system is designed to be a desert racer suspension. The cons are the price of the system and the difficulty of the installation.
I can tell you that when I run one of my other jeeps in the dunes it is just like you said a crawl fest. I can only go through the woops section at 10 MPH VS 40-50 MPH with the EVO coil overs.

All kinds of coil over kits out there. Some bolt on some some with custom install. Depends on what you want to spend and how much you want to modify to make it work.
