I have the TL on now for over a couple of yrs with no problems. The TLs are way better than stock but there's little Y or V light output that is a bit annoying when u know it's there.

I chose the TL after comparing the light spread of all available LED headlight, and the TL was the most uniform.
I find the little 'Y' or 'V' of the TL much less annoying the prominent hotspots of others, including the more expensive ones.
The little 'Y' or 'V' are only visible under certain conditions. When I do see them, I prefer it over the more disturbing, very bright & much larger hot spots of other head lights.
I look at the road and the traffic... the sometimes visible little 'Y' are a tiny part of the overall view.

Vision X just came out with headlights as well. I have TL's but, I have a couple other sets of lights form them, and they are wicked bright. I am considering switching out the headlights when the rest of the list of Jeep toys shrinks up a bit. The color of the light is a bit different than the TL's.
Also, they just added a kit to replace the factory fogs. I made the mistake of ordering the spot instead of the floods. Way to bright for the street.
If I sound like a sales person push these things, let me explain. I was looking for a company that sold a factory replacement fog for the 10A/Rubi X. No one made a plug and play. Everyone says they do, but the mounting is different. After talking to Vision X, they decided to make one.
Sorry about the drawn out post.

No headlight has a completely uniform light spread, there are always hotspots, and lighter/darker areas. Jw speakers destroy trucklites- although pricing reflects that.

There's a lot of myth and misconceptions about lights in general and headlights in particular.
The JW have a large hotspot at the center. This makes the impression of an overall brighter light, but that's not the optimal light pattern.
What we need is a light pattern that's as even as can be, and wide enough to shed light on the road sides as well.
The new JW still has the large hotspot at the center.
The TruckLite has a more even and quite wider light spread.
This is how and why a hotspot in the center misleads our perception and makes us think that one light is overall brighter than the other:
The light on the right looks brighter. It consists of 25 similar "bulbs".
The light on the left looks dimmer. In fact, it emits more light... it consists of 49 bulbs.
The one on the left sheds almost double the light on the road ahead than the one the right.
The same perception error happens when comparing JW with TL.
(The same also goes for taking pictures in front of the lights, instead of from the driver seat - which show the actual lighting result rather than the reflector glare.)

While their hotspot is larger, the spread is also more even than the truck lights and maintain more light before falloff. Not sure about them compared to other led brands besides truck light.
The pattern difference can be seen when using a wall or something similar at equal distances(at cost difference id prolly go for tl too, but the new generation speakers are pretty nice

This is self contradicting: If the hotspot is larger (and it is quite prominent), the spread cannot be more even.
The JW hotspot also spreads somewhat above the cutoff line, so it has to be aimed lower than TL, in order to not blind the traffic ahead.
