I'll probally get flamed/in trouble for the link. but it's one persons perspective from the stock to the Q's.
Hope it helps.
Edit: pix. don't do any of the lights justice.

I am a noob to the JK life. My list of mods gets longer every day but my bank account is not growing at the same rate. I just can't justify blowing $400 on headlights. And apparently I'm the only one. A lot of you list it as one of the best/first mods that should be done. What am I missing?
If most of your DD is in a city or lighted roads, and your offroading doesn't stretch into the night, the stock lights aren't 'glorious', but still OK.
On the other hand, offroading in darkness on anything beyond easy trails, dark roads, animals crossing the road at night, foul weather & poor visibility -- are very good reasons for better headlights~foglights~lightbar.

If you are tight on a budget consider Raxiom H13 LED replacement bulbs for the headlamps (I got mine for $112.49 from Extreme Terrain) and 2x 80w 1200 lumen LED fog replacement bulbs ($26 on eBay). Here's a pic with both lit up, they really make a difference. Sent from my iPhone using JK-Forum

No flicker with the LED headlamps. I also added a 20" Eyourlife light bar for $79 with a 40a relay wiring harness and switch for $25. Here's a pic with that lit as well. So total light improvement for under $250. I'm sure the quality is not as good as TL or other top brands, but it fit the budget and still gave good results.

I'm gonna go against the popular vote here. I switched from hella e code lamps with the Susquehanna motorsports harness to the trucklights and the light output of the LEDs sucked in comparison. I've switched back since then and can see again
