LED Headlight Conversions...lack of heat concern
On wintery mornings like today's, will the lack of heat from LED's insufficiently melt away ice and snow build up compared to conventionals?

lol I think you already answered your own question...
My experience with LED's is that you have less ice build up due to them not getting that hot. This causes them not to ice up like conventionals when they cool.

t really depends on the type of weather that you are having as to how the lights will perform. In wet stick snow that sticks to everything the LED lights will not get warm enough to melt the snow. Dryer snow that tends to melt and form ice around the headlights won't get warm enough to melt and freeze over on the headlight. Freezing rain will definitely cause icing of an LED light.

Ya trucklite revised uts design with built in defroster. My experience hear in canada is if its wet shitty snow, it wont melt. Cold dry snow is never an issue. Freezing rain sticks to everything.

I put rain-x on mine and it helped out a lot. It doesn't snow very often where I live, but when it does it sticks to everything (ATL, GA). Lol
Like others have mentioned there is also now a version with built in auto defrosters. I think any vendor selling Trucklite could get you a set.
