Leaking oil from axle on Right side
Does anyone know what the cause can be. I'm leaking oil on my passenger side front axle. It is a brand new 2013 jeep. I went down to look at the undercarriage and I noticed a liquid sprayed on the fender walls then I see this. Any help would be gravely appreciated!

Hate to agree but it's definatly an axle seal. I'm dealing with the same thing after getting ball joints replaced.. It's a cheap part but the labor is a b*#ch from the videos that I have seen. Your might be covered under warranty

Yup hate to say it kinda common but they sometimes leak new, after many thousands of miles, after ball joint repair
Keep the diff topped up a piece of cardboard under it on the driveway and see if you are covered under warranty
Mine leaked only after 115,000km and ball joint replacement..... The shop were I had BJ done warranty their work. Guess its a trickey install not to pinch or damage the seals when re-installing the axle shafts
Good luck

If you haven't recently overfilled the axle, then it's a bad axle seal for sure. If by chance you have serviced the Jeep in a manner that required the removal of the axle shafts, you could have some residual oil coming out from when oil moved into the tube once the axle was removed. I was careful to thoroughly clean the axle tubes after my two ball joint replacement sessions and I was also careful to guide the axle shafts back in slowly. I was able to avoid leaks or signs of any leaks by following that procedure.
In your case, that's a lot of gear oil so I can only assume that you have a damaged seal. If you're still under warranty, I'd have the dealer fix it.

Just for a follow up brought it to jeep today at 7:30 am they didn't get back to me till 6:45pm. Like it was said it was the axle o ring that broke which was cause the leak. All you knowing how fabulous and so nice the service department is they went on to tell me that usually it would be covered under warranty but since I have oversized tires it's my fault. After bickering back and forth for a bit they decided to "turn there head the other way" on this one and let it slide. And on top of it I don't get back my rig until tomorrow after noon.
