From what's been said here 4.88's are right out. They'd put you back to factory which, sad to say, is sub par. I'd recommend running 5.13's based on JPops recommendations.

I would actually recommend 5.38s unless you're running a D30 where they aren't available. An even steeper gear set would be more in line for either the D44s or D30s if they were available.

One thing to keep in mind is were you are driving. If the areas that you are driving 70 mph are somewhat flat with some elevation changes then you will remain in fourth with little effort.
Running 5.38 auto 4th gear my RPM's, run around 2500>2600. This is really closer to were this motor should be running for effeciency. At least that how I understand it. If I had to do it over again it would be 5.38 no question.
Once you start adding weight it really starts to make more sense.
