Kumho Tires?!?!?

wouldn't you also have to have 2 spares with directional tires?
i've always seen kuhmo tires on tirerack but never went with them because i don't know how reputable they are.

I stand corrected fellow Off Roaders. I looked up the tire sizes on the Kumo Web page http://www.kumhousa.com/tires/light-.../KL71/specs.do (hopefully that link does not vilolate the rules). ANd I was wrong they added a few sizes. Now just have to find some prices.

Kumho Road Venture MT
No ones been on this thread in a while so i figured i would add something to it for anyone doing a search for these tires.
Kumho Road Venture MT
I absolutely LOVE these tires.
+++pros+++
- Almost zero noise even at very high speeds
- Amazing grip in everything but Ice.
- Great looking
- Relatively cheaper than most MTs
---Cons---
-Unidirectional
These tires are perfect for me. My Jeep is my daily driver but i only drive a very short distance. So i wanted tires that had good road manners while still having a great look and good grip on and off road. Because these tires are unidirectional i would say that if you daily drive a considerable distance you may want to consider other tires. I would estimate that you will get 25k-30k miles of good tread life. For me that will last about 6 years (i live down the road from work!). If you have a short daily drive and are looking for MT's then these are perfect for you.
My shop said i could rotate in the spare (setup for the passanger side) or because of how little distance i cover when i do daily drive just keep the 5th as a perma spare and whenever i need new tires just buy 4 instead of 5. They also said that in a jam where i would have to use the spare then as long as the spare had plenty of tread it would be fine going the wrong direction until i could get it switched around or a new tire....basically they said use it like a donut on any other car. Because of that i decided to keep the spare out of the rotation.
I havent had to deal with too much ice so i cant really speak on that. Everything else though and these tires hook up like crazy.
These tires did fit on my jeep without a lift. you will have to cut the front end skirt a little bit for full turn. They will also rub if you hit a bump over 60 MPH. I took a trip to my sisters house to put on the lift with these tires and anytime i came to a bridge on the highway i would cringe going over the transfer from road to bridge. Rubbed every single time. During my daily 25-40mph trips though there was no rubbing.
Some pictures with the lift are attached. I have pictures of the jeep and the skirt area i had to cut while it had the stock suspension in my albums.
